so i finished the great gatsby today and while i think gatsby/daisy/tom indeed shares some characteristics with dan/blair/chuck, i know that statement is debatable. but yet, this is one of many passages in the novel that prove my point..

(if i have the time, and you’re INTERESTED in it, i might dig a little deeper and find some more and post them)

i think its the fact that they wer so carefully build up over many years, and that they just FIT and MADE SENSE. and that all that building up, all this finding each other and finding real love was destroyed in a mere few episodes. and whats even worse, it got destroyed so that the show could go back to two couples that were beyond unhealthy and unreasonable. i think that is why it hurts so much.
and i think the reason we cant get over it, is that they left us with literally NOTHING. they destroyed them romantically, and whats even worse, they destroyed their friendship. i think if they had made sure we knew dan and blair were at some point, still (best) friends in that flash forward, it would be easier. but we were left with no closure and we will never find any..
