#i’m sorry but this scene just screams ‘series finale ending #the met steps was THE setting for her queen b false persona stretching as far back as the pilot #the constance school girls represented how far she has come from all that #the tiara and the dress embodied her life long dream of being a princess #the cubic zircornia reference and taking the photograph symbolised how excess wealth and status doesn’t really matter in the end #and finally: dan humphrey being the person who placed the tiara on blair waldorf’s head and looking at her as if she was priceless #she no longer needed her queen b false exterior because dan loved her for her #she no longer needed to be an actual princess because dan will always treated her like royalty #it dispels every non-truth about this crazy upper east side world it gives the show and these characters a meaningful and right ending #gossip girl has always been a social satire about the collision of two worlds #the ‘lonely boy’ from brooklyn and the ‘queen b’ from the upper east side were always the heart of this show #so dan humphrey and blair waldorf on the met steps for the series finale #would be the perfect embodiment of these two worlds finally colliding into one #THE END
